Enquiries and business contact

When you email us, we receive the details you choose to provide, including your name, email address and message. We use them to respond and consider the matter you raise. Our basis is our legitimate interest in managing business correspondence (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you personally, Article 6(1)(b) may apply. Providing information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without sufficient contact details. Please do not send sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.

Website operation

The website does not use advertising trackers, analytics, embedded maps or an online contact form. Fonts and images are served with the website. Hostinger provides website hosting and email services. Technical records, such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested pages, may be processed to deliver and protect these services. Our basis for necessary website and security processing is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). The website does not make automated decisions about you or carry out profiling.

Service providers and disclosure

Hostinger and its service providers process data needed to operate hosting and email. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for the matter or required by law. It is not sold. Hostinger may process data internationally; its data-processing addendum describes its subprocessors and applicable transfer safeguards, including EU standard contractual clauses where required. You can ask us for further information about applicable safeguards.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept while needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting business relationship. Longer retention is limited to relevant legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Information should be deleted when these purposes no longer require it. The period depends on whether the enquiry leads to ongoing business and whether records are legally required; routine enquiries are not intended to be retained indefinitely. Hosting logs and backups follow the provider’s applicable retention arrangements.

Your rights and questions

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the email contact above and mention “Privacy enquiry”. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.
